Representatives of 40 Turkish companies took part in the Russian-Turkish business forum in Voronezh

The Russian-Turkish business forum was held in Voronezh within the framework of the 19th meeting of the Russian-Turkish Business Council. The vice-president of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Padalko took part in his work.

The business program of the forum brought together representatives of 40 Turkish and 70 Russian companies, about 150 entrepreneurs from Russia and Turkey took part in its work.

Welcoming participants of the forum, Vladimir Padalko said that Voronezh was chosen as a venue for a joint economic forum under the auspices of the Russian-Turkish and Turkish-Russian business councils. Voronezh Oblast shows in recent years outstripping growth rates, as well as a steady desire to actively develop cooperation with Turkish partners.

Such spheres as industrial production, agro-industrial complex, construction, high technologies, tourism are priority directions in the economic policy of the Voronezh region, he noted. In the region there is a modern international airport providing fast delivery of passengers and cargo, for example, to Istanbul and back. The Voronezh economic development zone has been created, which has a special tax regime, has effective administrative management and modern communications. All this can be useful for Turkish entrepreneurs planning to build their business on Voronezh land.

Characterizing the trade turnover of the two countries, Vladimir Padalko, vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, recalled that in 2012 there was a peak in the development of bilateral trade, which exceeded $ 34 billion. Last year, in connection with the well-known events, trade turnover fell to $ 16 billion.

But this year there is a stable tendency to restore the indicators, stated Vladimir Padalko. So, for 9 months of this year. the volume of mutual trade amounted to 20 billion dollars.

According to the vice-president of the Federal Chamber, without the efforts of state institutions of both countries, Russian-Turkish and Turkish-Russian business councils, chambers of commerce and industry, it would be difficult to restore business ties, contracts and agreements only in one year.

In conclusion, he expressed gratitude for the active work on the Russian-Turkish direction of the ministries of economy of Russia and Turkey, trade and ambassadors, and in business circles - Akhmet Palankoyev, chairman of the Russian-Turkish Business Council, and Tundzhai Ozilhanu - chairman of the Turkish-Russian Business Council, member of the Board of the Committee on Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey (DEIC).

Also, Vladimir Padalko, vice-president of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, urged the Turkish businessmen-participants of the business forum to cooperate more actively with the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, territorial chambers of commerce and industry in order to establish new business contacts, expand and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.
